The PCSO Department of Detention allows inmates at both the Central County Jail (located at 2390 Bob Phillips Road in Bartow) and the South County Jail (located at 1103 U.S. Hwy. 98 West in Frostproof) an opportunity to visit with friends and family members using the Smart Communications system. The system allows inmates to make collect calls only. No incoming calls can be received by an inmate.

Visitors must determine which facility where their loved one is housed by using the inmate search function on this website, or calling 863-292-3400.

Family and friends must then visit the Smart Communications website to set up an account.

There are several payment options when using this service:

1. ONLINE - quick, convenient, secure, and available 24/7/365. 

2. LIVE OPERATOR - call toll-free Customer Care at 727-349-1561, available 24/7/365.

3. AUTOMATED OPERATOR - call 727-349-1561 and select "make a deposit" from the automated menu.

4. LOBBY KIOSK - visit the kiosks in our facility where deposits can be made with credit card or cash. 

5. MAIL - deposit funds via the U.S. mail via money order or certified check. See graphic below for more information.
